Description

Review patterns in a fun, hands-on way with 5 different manipulatives! This file includes 340 pattern cards cards to build and review patterning using colored unifix cubes, snap cubes, links, counting bears, & pom poms.

Whether your students are working on copying, extending, or completing patterns, this file is the perfect way to differentiate! A low-prep activity to use in a math center, in a morning bin, or with a small group.

Each pattern card includes colorful clip art and a variety of ways to practice patterns. 16 pattern cards are included for each type of pattern: AB, AAB, AABB, ABB, & ABC. Students will lay manipulatives on top of the pattern cards to build the patterns & learn in a hands-on way. This way, students can build understanding of one-to-one correspondence and practice their patterning skills.

This file includes:

  • 80 pattern cards for each manipulative (20 for pom poms)
  • AB, AAB, AABB, ABB, & ABC patterns
  • Cards for each pattern include patterns to copy, complete, and extend
  • Blank pattern cards to create your own or to have students build their own
  • Recording sheet to have students record patterns or create their own

These cards are ready to use - just print on card stock, laminate, & cut out. For easy use in a center you can add these to a binder ring and store in a bin with your manipulatives. Use in a math center during a patterning unit, as a morning bin for soft start, or with a small group.

You'll love how easy to prep these pattern cards are and how engaged your students will be while they practice patterning in a hands-on way. You can use the student recording sheet for added accountability to see what your students have created.

Teachers like you have said:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "I used this as a Math center when we were learning about patterns. My Pre-K kids loved it! I definitely recommend it! Very helpful and engaging!"

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "I put this in our pocket chart and students were able to have the manipulatives and finish the patterns! They also loved being able to make their own."
