Description

This concise, to the point and no-prep percent applications lesson is a great way to teach and introduce how to find and calculate discounts and markdowns. This lesson goes over what discounts are and how to find them, and includes six problems where students practice finding the discount and/or total from different situations. There are another two problems where students work backwards to figure out what the original discount percentage was.

These notes get straight to the point of the skill being taught, which I have found is imperative for the attention span of middle schoolers! They are also a great tool for students to refer back to.
