Description

The Percent Problems QR Code Activity is the perfect way to engage students with learning, technology, and group/independent work digitally or in print. This 24 question activity allows students to practice solving the three types of percent problems: part, whole, and percent.

Print the problems and laminate. Students will need a device that can read QR codes (cell phone, iPad, tablet, laptop/desktop with a camera, etc.). Using an iPhone, students will scan the QR code with the camera and a notification pops up with the answer. Students do not need to click on the notification. Students can also scan the QR code through the Snapchat App by taking a picture and the answer will appear or by searching “QR Code Scanner” on a different device.

The activity is designed for students to work in small groups but students can work individually or in partners. Print the problems for each group or hang around the room and students can start at different spots. You can also share the digital version in Google Classroom, Canvas, etc.

Students will solve the problem and record work on the recording sheet. Using the camera on the device, students will scan the QR code. Students should fix answers that are incorrect before moving on to the next question.

A key is included.

Happy teaching!
