Description
Are you hoping to increase your students' understanding of percent proportions? This engaging set of 3 google sheet escape rooms utilizes the percent proportion for calculating either the missing part, the missing percentage or the missing whole amount. A printable PDF worksheet for students to show their work is included. Two versions are created for each google sheet, 1 that includes the percent proportion set up (best for students who may be struggling) and 1 without it.
By breaking apart the percent proportion to assess the understanding of the calculations when missing the part, percent and whole separately you can better understand where your students are in need of support.
When entering their answer in the digital activity, if the answer is correct, the box will turn green. If the answer is incorrect, the box will turn red. Encourage students to go back and check their work/redo their work if the box turns red.
Class discussion: On each google sheet there are answers that repeat from different given answers. EXAMPLE: 2 is 50% of 4 and 5 is 50% of 10. This can be the focus of class discussion regarding the proportional relationship that makes this true.
This product includes:
- 3 Google Sheet Digital Activities - 1 = Calculate the missing part given the percent and the whole, 1 = Calculate the missing percent given the part and the whole and 1 = Calculate the missing whole amount given the part and the percent
- Workspace: Version 1: just questions, Version 2: questions with place value graphic organizer
- Answer Key for all 3 google sheets
This activity aligns well with:
CCSS:
