Description
Wondering how to get your students to REALLY understand word problems involving percents?
After many years of teaching this topic, I’ve decided that the method outlined in this product is the most successful one I’ve tried. This approach enables students to analyze and solve ANY word problem involving percents more confidently.
Students will identify the base, percentage, and rate making sure that the percentage and rate are in agreement. Next, they will solve the problem using either a proportion or formula (equation). The notes and examples have space provided to illustrate both methods so students can choose the one they prefer. If they don't see both options, how can they make an informed decision about which method they like best?
Contents include a note-taking outline, six detailed examples, and a ten-question practice worksheet. Check out the preview to get a better grasp of the product.
