Description
Students will practice solving applications with percents word problems (including percent proportion, discount, mark-up, sales tax, percent increase, percent decrease, and simple interest) with this set of 16 task cards.
- The task cards cover the following objectives:
- Use the percent proportion to solve for missing values.
- Solve a word problem using the percent proportion.
- Calculate discount, mark-up, sales tax, and tip related word problems.
- Solve percent increase or decrease word problems.
- Solve simple interest word problems.
A recording worksheet is also included for students to show their work and identify their answers as they use the task cards.
Task cards are very versatile, and can be used in a number of ways. I listed a few suggestions in the preview along with samples of the cards.
