This check-in is a great check-for-understanding when talking about percentages and how to calculate tax, tip, and discount. Students will be given situations in which they must apply their understanding of calculating percentages to a series of different situations. There is some extra credit available as well. This could be homework or it could be an in-class quiz to check for student understanding on the topic.
