Students will love finding the square root of a number and estimating roots to the nearest tenth with this winter themed solve, draw, and color activity. Students will complete 12 problems and draw a hat, eyes, nose, mouth, arms, and an accessory on the snowman based on three multiple-choice options. This is great for Algebra and grades 6,7 and 8.

This is in PowerPoint format. Each activity includes a snowman page, problems, a multiple-choice sheet, and 2 keys (one for problems and one for what the finished snowman should look like).

I advise my students to draw the parts on the snowman with a pencil first before coloring.
