This problem solving task has students practicing Heron's formula for area. I go through a lesson about what a perfect triangle is and then challenge them to find all of the perfect triangles. I tell them they can work as a class if they want and to divide and conquer as they take a guess and check approach. Eventually they start to realize that the numbers they use have to have certain properties. I tell them to list the properties on the board as they discover them.
