Description

Are the vampires, aliens, zombies and crocodiles real? Or are they part of Nathan’s nightmare? The weird, wild and wonderful world of Nathan’s imagination flashes before us in a whirl of dance, song and mime. A choir introduces the action with rhyming verse sung to the tune of “Old MacDonald had a Farm”. It is over in 10 minutes and will be great entertainment for an assembly item or school concert.

Why it will be easy:

· The children all perform together (no need to worry about stage- fright.)

· The number of roles is easily adjusted

· The choir alone learns and sings the song

· The Activity familiarises students with the script

· Syllabus requirements are met

· The activity and performance can be completed in 2-3 weeks

The resource includes:

· 9 pages

· Teacher Notes

· Australian Curriculum links for The Arts and English

· 1 Class Activity

· 10- minute script (Activity 2)

· Prop and costume instructions
