Sort these pictures in order from greatest perimeter to least perimeter. Can be used whole group or small center to introduce the concept of perimeter, as adding the lengths of the sides. Can be used as an assessment for ESL students.
Play a game of memory. Place all cards face down, try to match a picture with the correct perimeter measurement.
Play a game of war. Evenly divide the cards between players place top card down, the player with the larger perimeter wins. Get the same perimeter?--go to war just like the card game.
