In this 36 slide PowerPoint presentation, students will actively be involved in discovering the concept of perimeter. Visual, tactile and analytical skills will be improved. Using a blank sheet of paper and ruler, students will measure, create and draw rectangles and triangles to meet certain specifications. The last 12 slides are challenging questions involving higher level thinking and algebra. There is also a link to a website which will improve a student's ability in reading a ruler.
