Description
This is a NO PREP unit project for students that touches on Area, Perimeter and Money. Students will build a haunted house with different features and amenities. Students will measure the perimeter and area of their house. Students also have to keep in mind the costs for each room in their house, including the costs of amenities, furniture, fences and their yard areas. This project is great for solidifying and finalizing the skills they have learned.
As a teacher you also have the power to make the assessment as simple or complex as you choose! You can create a budget that students have to follow. You can create a limit or minimum amount of rooms they need to have for the house. You could even have students make 3D models of their home! Whatever works best for your students!
