This is a NO PREP unit project for students that touches on Area, Perimeter and Money. Students will build their zoo with different enclosures for different animals. Students will measure the perimeter and area of each enclosure they create. Students also have to keep in mind the costs for each enclosure, including the costs of animals, fencing and watering areas for the animals. This project is great for solidifying and finalizing the skills they have learned.

This Unit Project includes:

- Adding Costs for animals and enclosures

- Creating and finding the area and perimeter for their zoo

- Calculating the final costs of their entire zoo

- A final checklist for students to make sure they have completed their projects and shown their work.

- An easy to use teacher scoring system out of 30 points

As a teacher you also have the power to make the assessment as simple or complex as you choose! You can create a budget that students have to follow, you can create a limit or minimum amount of enclosures they need to have for the zoo, whatever works best for your students!
