As the Common Core Curriculum gets put into effect, reading and writing are going to play a much bigger role in math. This audio visual book is a fictional story about two brothers, Area and Perimeter that incorporates situations where students have to use their knowledge of these two concepts to help Perimeter figure out his purpose in life. It is a fun activity and my kids love it. There is a supplementary lesson plan for use with this video that can also be purchased at the Betta Math store. Enjoy!
