Set a timer for 1 minute. Teacher reads the word in gray and the student says all the sounds in the word. Use a highlighter to mark the sounds the student gets correct. Tally up the sounds at the end of the minute. See if the student can beat their score next time! I reward the children with stickers or happy chappy when they beat their scores. You can also put in page protectors and use the recording sheet to save paper.
