On My Own: Phonics Edition is a huge learning resource of over 700+ phonics pages. It provides several different ways for students to interact with each sound-spelling. This resource is a great way to encourage students to build confidence and master phonics. This is the perfect tool if you are needing an alternative option to centers/stations this school year.
There are 8 different activities for each sound-spelling, including:
- Sort and write the sound-spelling words.
- Read and build the sound-spelling words.
- Circle the correct sound-spelling words.
- Read the words with the focus sound-spelling.
- Match the picture with the correct sound-spelling word.
- Circle and write the sound-spelling words.
- Unscramble and write the sound-spelling words.
- Write the sound-spelling word to match the picture.
This resource can be used for a whole group, small group, or independent practice.
How to Prep: You can place these learning mats in binders for individual students or dry erase pockets. You can also laminate and have students write and wipe.
What Sound-Spellings Are Included?
- Short Vowel Word Families - ab, ad, ag, am, an, ap, at, ack, ash, ang, all, en, ed, et, ell, ent, eck, in, ip, it, ill, ick, ink, ing, ot, og, op, ock, ong, ug, un, ump, uck, unk
