This bundle is designed to help students learn the skills required to become successful readers. Each of these skills are vitally important and are necessary if students are to be able to read and write. These skills are tested in the majority of phonological awareness assessments in schools across the country.

Each skill has 40 task cards (480 in total) that can be used either one-to-one / whole class or in small groups. They are in a developmental order so you can work from one color (ROYGBIV) to the next as students master the skills.

Syllable Counting

Rhyme Detection

Rhyme Production

Blending CVC Words

Onset Identification - Initial Sounds

Final Phoneme Identification - Final Sounds

Segmentation CVC - Identifying and Separating Sounds

Segmentation Blends - Identifying and Separating Sounds (increased difficulty)

Deletion Onset - Deleting First Sound and Reading the New Word

Deletion Boundary - Deleting First Sound and Reading the New Word (increased difficulty)

Deletion Internal Consonant - Removing Internal Consonant and Reading the New Word

Nonword Reading - Reading Nonsense Words
