Photography Design Your Own Project Assignment
Share

Description

In digital photography, I teach my students about composition and exposure and editing, and then I want to see what they can do. This assignment is about allowing students to take what they've learned and create a project that highlights their own interests, strengths, and abilities.

This Word document outlines instructions for students to create design and execute a project on any subject, topic, or theme. In the past, students have chosen to create a series of diptychs, to recreate Humans of New York using faculty and students from our school, to photograph animals, and to recreate modern versions of famous works of art. I love this assignment because it allows students to play off their own strengths.

The document includes detailed instructions, as well as a grading rubric. Because it is a Word document, it is fully editable.

A little pricey, but a time saver when you don't want to build your own rubric.
