Description
This is a rubric for students to engage in learning about sports through a research based project. For me, the goal for this assignment is to take what the students research and present on in the sport and embed their content in my virtual teaching. I hope this increases quality of work, but also allows the students a chance to see their work (discussion questions, chosen videos, pictures, etc.) used in the virtual learning setting to teaching their peers.
- This project includes a breakdown of all categories with point values and descriptions.
- It is suggested that teachers pre-arrange the sports that students are researching to prevent repetitive sports. I am doing this by sending students a Google Form to list their top 5 favorite sports. The goal is that they get one of those.
- Students will work on this over the course of 1 week of distance learning, by chunking the material each day.
- VIRTUAL CLASS MEETINGS - students could virtually present their sport to their peers and share snippets of what they learned.
- I will encourage students to use Google Slides for their final presentation to make it easy to transfer content over to our LMS.
- Project template will be coming soon.
