Description

Students will dive into the world of balancing using levers and fulcrums. Through a virtual simulation called "Phet Balancing Act," students will explore the concepts of balancing masses and manipulating distances from the fulcrum.

This high school physics lab provides an engaging exploration of balancing using levers and fulcrums. Students will quickly learn about the relationship between masses and distances from the fulcrum for achieving balance. Through the virtual simulation and gameplay, students will gain practical experience applying these concepts. Additionally, students will calculate the mechanical advantage and ideal mechanical advantage for a real-life lever scenario.
