Description
I created this Pi Day project for the month of March to extend the regular curriculum and provide an additional challenge for 3rd grade students who need more. Many of the problems are at a 4th grade level. However, I found 3rd graders LOVE coordinate graphing so you will find a bit of these types of problems too.
This project is meant to be challenging. I have done it with 3rd grade students. Although I believe all 3rd graders could do it with scaffolding and support, your higher 3rd graders should be able to work through the problems more independently. If you choose to send it home as a challenge packet, I’ve also included a parent letter at the end to give parents tips on how to help their child.
Be sure to check out my other resources on TPT.
