Description

Piecing Together Numbers is a center unit that is aligned to the kindergarten Common Core Standards K.CC.A.3 and K.CC.A.4a

CCSS.Math.Content.K.CC.A.3 Write numbers from 0 to 20. Represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20 (with 0 representing a count of no objects).

CCSS.Math.Content.K.CC.B.4a When counting objects, say the number names in the standard order, pairing each object with one and only one number name and each number name with one and only one object.

Use this center packet to help your students relate a numeral to it's written from and to the correct number of objects. This packet can be used as 1 center or you can break it apart into to two separate centers (matching objects and match word).

This unit also includes recording sheets for your students to "Show What They Know." Laminate and have students use them over and over or print enough for each student and keep it in your students portfolios.
