Description
This Pineapple Jell-O inquiry-based lab is a fun one! Students will practice proteins, enzymes, and experimental design over two classes. The lab goal: make firm Jell-O starting with fresh pineapple. They will have to have some prior knowledge on protein and enzyme structure and function, including the concept of denaturation.
- Day 1: Protein lecture + Pre-lab and Lab Design portions of the lab
- Day 2: Enzyme lecture + Data and Post-Lab discussion
This download also comes with another enzyme worksheet to accompany my Enzymes PowerPoint and the Bioman Bio Enzymatic Virtual activity. If you have students absent, you could also have them to THIS.

I agree that it is time consuming! I am planning on digitizing this lab (on BOOM Learning) in the Spring like I did with the Macromolecule Forensics lab. Keep an eye out for it :) And thank you for the review!
