Description

This interactive PowerPoint easily takes you through an introductory lesson of adverbs for your students. Students will learn what an adverb is and how an adverb answers one of the three questions; how? when? or where?

The students will practice identifying adverbs within a sentence and determining what question the adverb is answering. At the end of the lesson the students will practice filling their own adverbs into a sentence.

On the last slide of the PowerPoint there is a worksheet to go along with the pirate themed lesson. The students will practice using adverbs within sentences using multiple choice and matching questions that the teacher can use as extra practice or a summative assessment of students' knowledge on adverbs so far.
