Description
This pirate-themed project allows students to practice graphing, creating an input/output table, convert between mixed numbers and improper fractions, and write their own fraction equations. These slides include 12 practice problems for students to practice identifying points on a coordinate plane, a mini lesson with practice problems about converting between improper fractions and mixed numbers, and examples and instructions for dividing number lines into fourths and thirds. Additionally, these slides include detailed project instructions and pictures, as well as a project requirements overview slide and a list of IXL early finisher links. After students complete their own project, they trade papers with another student to find the hidden treasure! My students loved this one!
