Description
This solving linear equations revision activity includes 2 differentiated puzzles for students to practice solving linear equations.
Note: same answers and art, just simpler equations to solve, but are included as individual sheets, so they can be assigned as desired
This is a fun activity designed to revise solving simple algebraic equations, using digital media. As the students solve the problems, a picture will be unveiled. Problems include a mix of one-step and multi-step equations, including negative solutions and variables (pronumerals) on both sides of the equation.
These activities are aimed at on-level or lower-level students. Extension and Honors classes would not find these activities challenging.
This is a great task for earlier years at the end of the topic as revision or as a refresher before extending algebraic work in later years. Great for individual or working in pairs. It’s a great opportunity for students to verbalise their reasoning and explain their choice (and also provide you with insight into their understanding of the concept).
Once purchased, you will receive a PDF to download, with instructions and links to make a copy of both versions of the activity.
