Description
Need something fun to review place value?! My class will be busy making these Place Value Peeps! Read below to find out how to do this low-prep and engaging activity!
How to Create
Each student will either roll a die 2 times to get their special 2-digit number, or 3 times to get their 3-digit number. (Ex: if a student rolls a 4 and a 2, their special 2-digit number will be 42. If a student rolls a 1, a 3, and a 6, their special 3-digit number will be 136.)
After the student figures out their special number, they will have to represent that number in many ways (standard form, expanded form, picture model, number word, tallies, place value chart)
Students will glue the peeps into their small peeps box (holds 4 peeps) or their large peeps box (holds all 6 peeps), depending on how many peeps you have them create.
This fun math craftivity can easily be differentiated based on the number dice that you use as well!

All pieces for the place value peeps craftivity. Print on colored paper or have students color and cut.
