This math bundle is bursting with activities to help your students understand place value. The activities in this pack relate to odd and even numbers, reading and writing numbers in words, expanded notation, adding and subtracting 1, 10, 100 and 1000, ordering large numbers, and rounding numbers to the nearest 10.

What you'll get:
- 1 place value board game: the file comes with both a color and a black and white version for you to choose from. It looks best when printed on A3-sized paper and laminated. The board game comes with a set of cards to be cut out and placed in a stack on the 'mystery card' rectangle on the board. Players take it in turns to select a 'mystery card' and follow the instructions on them as they move their tokens around the board. A set of instructions with further details is included in the file.

- Hundreds chart with hundreds chart key: laminate the sheets and cut out the 'Hundreds Chart Keys'. Using a cutting board, stanley knife and ruler (to direct the blade in a straight line), slice along the dotted lines on the 'keys'. Finally, place one of the keys over the hundreds chart to reveal how to add and subtract 1 and 10.
- Place value mat with base 10 block cards: included in the file is a place value mat, number cards for the numbers from 0-9, and cards depicting base 10 blocks. Print the mat off and cut the cards up for students to manipulate various 3-digit numbers.
- Place value wall display to help students read large numbers: the file comes with two different poster sizes. Either print it on one A3 or A4 piece of paper, or, for a larger display print it on two A3 pieces of paper and stick them together.
- 12 expanded notation mini puzzles
- Place value sliders: laminate the sheets and cut them out. Using a cutting board, stanley knife and ruler (to direct the blade in a straight line), slice along the dotted lines on the 'slide' bars. Finally, insert the number strips through the cuts to create your Place Value Sliders. Please check each page to see whether they need to be printed on A3 or A4 paper.
