Description

Your students will be engaged in this game of Place Value Tug-of-War. Students will practice and understand that each digit in a three digit number represents a quantity of hundreds, tens and ones. Students will also begin to understand that 10 units in a lower place value is the same thing as 1 in a higher place value.

For example 10 ones is the same thing as 1 ten. Imagine how excited you and your students are going to be when they actually comprehend that 13 tens is the same thing as 130 or 21 hundreds is the same thing as 2,100. When students understand the Place Value, Base 10 number system, they grow confidence in using Place Value!

You will receive:

  • 40 game cards
  • a recording sheet
  • an answer key and
  • a student feedback form that allows your students to express how they feel about the skill as well as the learning experience.

This product comes in a color version as well as a black and white version.

Each student will pull a card and determine who has the highest value. The player with the highest value wins a point. The first person who achieves 10 points is the winner of Place Value Tug-of-War. Your students will be fully engaged in learning while you will be ecstatic that they are mastering the concept.
