This is a set of 11 cards to help students represent numbers in terms of base 10. The cards begin with counting objects and increase in level of difficulty. By the end, students should understand that 18 is 10 + 8. You may wish to copy pages on card stock and place inside a plastic sheet protector. Students can use a dry erase marker and work at their own pace to complete the series. Students having difficulty could easily repeat the same card.
