Description

Your students will LOVE testing their knowledge of different number forms (word, expanded, standard, and unit) while competing for those spoons. Be ready to have some fun with this classroom hit! You can also use the game cards for matching activities, Quiz-Quiz-Trade, and task cards.

What's included:

15 cards in word form

15 cards in standard form

15 cards in expanded form

15 cards in unit form

Color and b/w versions

✅ SPOONS game directions

The cards increase in difficulty. Therefore, you can split them into two decks and use them with different levels of students, or provide a mixed review with the entire set. If you don't teach unit form, you can still play with the other three number forms.

Here are 4 ways you can use these cards:

  • For SPOONS, play with a small group of 4-6 students. Directions for how play are included. This is a great way to review before a test!
  • For a matching activity, spread cards out on a small group table. Have students match all 15 sets of 4-of-a-kind.
  • For Quiz-Quiz-Trade, write the standard form on the back of the expanded, unit, and word form cards. You won't need the standard form cards for this. Play Quiz-Quiz-Trade for a warm-up activity or lesson closure.
  • For task cards, students can grab one card and write the other number forms.
