Description

Excellent for small group work! Give students a number to use while answering questions presented on the task cards. You can use a random number generator, number cards, or dice. For differentiation, give students 3-digit to 7-digit numbers. Mats can be reused by placing them in dry erase pockets. If you do not have place value discs, students can draw out the circles (or you can remove the card from the deck).

*Black and white file. Print on colored card stock for best results.

  • Slides 2-5: Large task cards
  • Slides 6-7: Mini task cards
  • Slide 8: Answer sheet
  • Slides 9-11: Place value mats

These can be used to see each digit in its correct place

or to build the number using place value discs
