Description

Everyone loves cupcakes and sweets from a bakery. In this PROJECT BASED LEARNING - PLAN A BAKE SALE unit, your students learn about economics and entrepreneurship as they open their very own bakery (option: have a bake sale). This student-centered project incorporates collaboration and differentiation by providing student choice. This real-world challenge requires students to use inquiry, critical thinking, and their creative minds during the high-interest cross-curricular [math, ELA] activities. Students integrate digital learning into the project as they investigate and plan their final product.

There are some things students need to do so their shop will be a success. It requires them to do research and planning.

This PBL unit incorporates 21st Century skills with challenging, engaging, and creative activities. There are lots of opportunities for differentiation, cooperative learning, and technology integration.

This has been a great resource and I have enjoyed using it multiple times. With my fourth grade students, this was a great tool for my Gate kiddo's that needed a little extra challenge as well as deeper reasoning projects. With my sixth grade class, this has been a great group project to have the students practice research and presentation skills.
