Planet Report Bundle! 13 pages that include: 2 pages of research questions to take notes on, a publishing paper, 9 acrostic poems (one for each of the nine planets), and a creative writing page.

For 3rd grade non-fiction writing, I came up with a unit that would go right along with our Science unit on Space which includes the sun, moon, and Earth. First, I read a bit about the planets. Then they choose which planet they would like to do a report on. The worksheets give a few websites for the students to research from. Then the next day they also research from books about the planets. There are two pages of questions they might answer. Then they can do a rough draft before they write the final draft which is a paper that is also included. There is also an acrostic poem for each planet and space to draw a picture of the planet on the same page and a creative writing page. My kids had a lot of fun doing this!
