If you need an easy-prep set that will keep students engaged and learning about plant and animal cells this set is for you! You will have so many choices of templates, drawings, and tasks!

➡️This easy-to-use set has many uses:

  • Early finishers
  • Extra credit
  • Morning work
  • Warmups before science class begins
  • Center task cards
  • Substitute assignments
  • Review before a test

➡️What is included?

  • The package includes reading selections about animal cells, plant cells, and cell membranes.
  • I included drawings of a plant and animal set in 4 styles. You can choose to have students fill in their own labels for the cell parts.
  • Use the 4 task cards with an interactive notebook tab organizer.
  • OR, use the Task Sheet and worksheets to complete the 4 tasks.
  • Use the 2-page quiz as an assessment or as additional worksheets.
  • Just for fun- choose from 2 puzzles about plant and animal cells.
  • Answer Keys are provided.
  • And, everything is provided in black/white.

➡️VERSION 1: This is not a traditional set of task cards. Each task is time-consuming.

Note: The ★four★ task cards have very specific tasks to complete:

  • Task 1: Students complete a folding organizer after reading a selection about Animal Cells. This includes drawing and labeling the cell.
  • Task 2: After reading a selection about Plant Cells students complete a folding organizer. This includes drawing and labeling the cell.
  • Task 3: Students draw a Venn diagram and use the reading selections to compare plant and animal cells.
  • Task 4: Using one of the reading selections students write a paragraph describing how cells stay in balance.

As you can see these are task-oriented task cards, rather than a quick answers. Each of the four tasks is time-consuming and one great idea is to have students complete all four on different days. This set is also perfect for using on a substitute day!

➡️VERSION 2: Instead of 4 task cards the tasks are provided on one page. You can opt to use this version if you are not currently using interactive or cut/paste notebooks.

  • The 4 tasks are the same.
  • Use a set of 3 worksheets to complete the tasks
