Plot Pyramid Template

Description

I took several different plot pyramids and turned them into one that I absolutely love to use when I talk about short stories . . . especially in the early Reading Literature Common Core standards. I find it kinda gives my students their story in a nutshell.

My students used this diagram to organize the plots of their own narratives in my Creative Writing class. I wasn’t sure how using the diagram to create rather than diagram an existing story would play out, but it went well. I’ll definitely use it again.

I like that this has a place for rising and falling incidents. I would like it better if the word conflict was replaced by "inciting incident".
