Description
This is only helpful if your students know the movie Finding Nemo. Using the movie, you can teach Plot Structure. Included in the zip file are 2 power points (also converted to PDF). One power point is a slide show to show students in order to refresh their memory of Finding Nemo's plot. It contains 15 slides. The second power point is the Answer Key. Each slide shows which part of the plot structure it follows, and a caption of what is happening in the photo. There is also a blank plot diagram, along with a plot diagram with small photos from Finding Nemo that are plugged into the correct place. The blank one can be used as a worksheet. The plot diagrams are in Pages, DOC and PDF format. Lastly, the lecture notes are in DOC and PDF format. They give the order and definitions of each plot structure, and which ones apply to Finding Nemo's story. The lecture notes are 2 pages.

This is a fun review for students learning plot structure. Its easy to understand using Finding Nemo.
It doesn't matter what grade you teach when using the plot example. Everyone can relate to Nemo! Using Nemo as an example was fun and engaging for my students.
I had to tweak this for what I needed, but it worked for a quick review of plot structure.
My students loved using this resource. We had to watch the movie over several days and it was a great way to keep us on track with the plot and to catch up the absent students.
Our class watched clips of Finding Nemo and used this format after to discuss and review the plot.
The students enjoyed the plot example using Nemo.
