Description
Unleash Analytical Thinking with Plotting Shapes: Merging Algorithm Concepts, Spreadsheets, and Visual Learning
Use Plotting Shapes Activities to improve your students visual learning experience with math and spreadsheets.
Our ingenious approach makes complex concepts easy, stimulating curiosity and encouraging problem-solving.
Watch as your students learn, grow, and enjoy working with spreadsheets like never before! Need help teaching spreadsheet skills to young learners? Dive in now.
Included in the Plotting Shapes activities is an educator Quick Start Guide, designed to facilitate more teaching and learning instead of prep.
The Plotting Shapes Activities are a completed packet of scaffolded learning spreadsheets tasks.
The Unplugged activity gets students thinking about spreadsheets grids, Column and Row referencing, and visualization practice.
In the next 3 tasks, students practice placing objects on the grid to complete an image (apple, butterfly, dog) by cell and range references.
Finally, the 2 Challenge tasks get students thinking about cell and range reference in a backward design model. The image is already place on the grid and now student properly reference the Cells and Ranges the image is place on.
All tasks are available in Easel and PPT Movable Objects versions.
As an Early Learner activities packet, the included activities helps student visualize objects in an algorithmic way and will produce a better understanding of working with cells, range, and spreadsheets.
Plotting Shapes support learning in math, science and technology, as well as enhancing logical and analytical thinking.
Thank you for considering using Plotting Shapes in your classroom.
