Description
This packet comes with four worksheets and one coloring page to help teach your students how to write linear equations with point-slope and with two points. There are two worksheets (or they can be assigned as homework or an assessment) for writing equations with a point and a slope. One of these pages has story problem to extend student thinking and the other worksheet contains practice problems. For writing equations with two points, you are also provided with two worksheets. One page again holds word problems and the other page is number problems.
The other page included with this packet is a wonderful resource to help your students remember how to find the slope with two points and how to put a point and a slope into the point-slope equation. Students color code the page and visually helps them see where to plug in numbers. This page really helped my students understand how to find slope and how to write an equation much better. Besides, what teenager does not mind taking a few minutes during math class to do some coloring? It was a big hit in my classroom and we included the coloring page in our interactive notebooks.
