Point To Emotions- Inside Out
Share

Description

Younger students often have a difficult time verbalizing how they feel. By utilizing a visual prompt (angry, happy, disgust, sad, fear/anxious/nervous), students can point to the emotion they are feeling, using the characters from Pixar's Inside Out! With this resource, you receive 2 printable emotion charts to be placed on desks, refrigerators, tables, etc. These can be used for ages pre-k and up, for students with special education services, speech-language difficulties and younger students who need assistance with verbalizing emotions.

I have been using this with a student who often came to school sad. This is an easy way for her to identify how she is feeling and we talk about it before she starts her day. It helps her get ready for the day. She checks out at the end of the day by letting me know how she is feeling before going home.

This was a great addition to my calm corner. The children can tell me how they are feeling and find ways to self regulate. This was a very vivid resource that I printed twice and used in my PEC system for communication as well as in the calm corner.
