This is a PowerPoint that sets up a group project on Political Parties. I typically use this after we have talked about the traditional parties, minority parties, purpose of political parties, political spectrum and political issues.

The class is placed into groups. In the groups they are going to create a new political party. The PowerPoint establishes the expectations of the project.

At the end the students present their party to the class. We do a museum walk and then the class votes to identify what they think the two best political parties are. I use these parties to set up or mock election.
