Polygon Guided Note Page
Share

Description

This is a 1-page guided note sheet for students. Students fill in the blanks on the note page during a lesson about polygons. This note page covers shapes that are and are not polygons, the 3 attributes of all polygons, names of common polygons (triangle, quadrilateral, pentagon, hexagon, octagon), and the roots "tri" and "quad". There is room on the left side so the page can be hold-punched and stored in a binder for later reference. I used this note page with my 3rd graders, then had them play a game to review the polygons. They referenced the note page frequently during the game - it was a big help to them! I created the note page myself, based on the Ohio Academic Content Standards for 3rd graders. This file also includes an answer key for the note page.
