Description

Practice counting skills with these cute pond-themed math mats! Each math mat asks students to place an amount of frog counters and an amount of turtle counters. Students will practice numeral recognition, counting, subitizing, and number comparing skills with this activity. This activity can be differentiated for ability by using the cards with blank numbers- teachers can write numbers for students, or students can write their own numbers!

I use little frog and turtle counters from Lakeshore for this activity. Other counters can be purchased through Oriental Trading, Kaplan, AC Moore, and more!
