Kindergarten sight word popcorn game pieces. I printed on yellow paper, laminated and cut out. Then put in a cute popcorn container from the dollar store. My kids love it and ask for it almost daily as a center option!

Directions for play:

-students take turns picking out a "piece" of popcorn and saying the word. If they are right, they get to keep the popcorn. If they are wrong, they put it back in the container.

-Play passes to next player and repeats.

-If a "POP" piece is drawn, there are a couple different options for how to play based on your kids. The way we play is: the POP pieces do not count. We put the piece back into the container and play passes as usual. Like a lose your turn piece. Another variation is if you are the person to draw the POP piece, you have to put all of your "kernels" back in the container. Play keeps going. Finally, a POP piece can signal that that player is "out" and only the remaining players play, but I've found that that does not work for us at all during centers.

-The student with the most kernels at the end, wins!

(This can be played in so many different ways based on you and your kids!! This is just the way I do it for my small group centers)
