THIS PRODUCT IS NOW INCLUDED IN Statistics with Univariate Data - Unit 2 - 8th Grade-Activites + Distance Learning Bundle!

In this acitivty, students will use data from a random sample to make inferences about a population. In this activity, the students will use the color of an object each student has. This can be any item such as backpacks, shoes, or shirts. Pictures are included of a simualted sample of random backpack colors if needed.

Students will discover what bias looks like in a real-world situation, and why a random sample would be needed or preferred. This activity incoporates a hands-on activity with critical thinking and writing skills in the follow up worksheet.
