Description
This activity is designed for students to practice graphing a polynomial function in factored form. It covers polynomials of degrees 2-6.
Prerequisites
1. Students have learned the basics of functions
2. Students have learned functional notation
3. Students have been introduced to polynomial functions
4. Students are familiar with the graphs of polynomial functions
The Activity
Students are simply asked to graph a polynomial function given its equation in factored form. Students should understand how a polynomial graph behaves when a given factor is of degree 1, 2 or 3.
