Description

PrintNPractice.com has practice writing checks worksheets.

They're like having play money. Better. They teach the soon to be lost art of writing a check.

This download has six pages:

  1. The first page has example checks,
  2. The second through fourth pages have printable blank example checks,
  3. The fifth worksheet has common store names for practice spelling, and
  4. The sixth worksheet has the spellings of numbers one through one hundred.

Kids need to learn writing numbers in words and to remember how to hyphenate them. These numbers are hyphenated from twenty-one to nintey-nine.

It is so much fun to write the names of real stores and to be able to pretend using real checks.

These worksheets are editable digital downloads with ad-free PDFs.

  • Print.
  • Cut.
  • Play!

The last two worksheets also work out to be fun ways to practice spelling and writing numbers out.

You can also print on colored paper to make blank checks for practice.

Enjoy!

My students state they have never written a check before and quite frankly didn't know how to. So we did a lesson on writing checks and they found it very helpful.

It is sad that financial literacy is not taught in school. This is a really cool resource that students who work need to know. Thank you for such a cool idea!

Worked great in class as most students have never wrote a check before... this gave them some practice at it.

We have a checkbook system in our grade level and this was perfect for introducing how to write checks. Thank you!
