This resource is used in the classroom to extend students' ability to understand text structure. This activity asks students to write using a particular text structures, showing a deeper understanding than identifying text structure. Also, students are guided through the topic of each text structures but get to pick one of their own based on their own interests.

I use this after teaching text structure as additional practice and to assess students ability to creative writing using the various text structures. Hope you find this helpful in your classroom!
