This lesson is from my Pre-Calculus H Curriculum (in Unit # 2).
This lesson includes the following concepts:
- Introducing a raional function application with an investigation activity using various heights of cylinders for a redesign for an ice cream container. Students will create some data about the container, graph the data on a coordinate plane and guided to make a rational function of the scenario.
- There are 4 examples besides the investigation activity of various types of rational function applications such as a concentration of a drug in the blood stream, flying in an airplane at various speeds due to wind speeds back and forth to a location, finding a side length of a triangle given its perimeter, and a rational function as an inequality where must find answer in interval notation and use test for shading method.

- PDF copy of KEY with all blanks and examples filled in (including all detailed work).
